General Manager of MDXi Data Centre, Gbenga Adegbiji was interviewed recently by Ife Ogunfuwa of The Punch Newspaper. During the discussion, he mentioned the need for increased data capacity in Africa to meet the growing demand by organisations.

He highlighted the increased dependence on technology around the world and discussed MDXI’s expansion plans to build the largest data center company real estate in West Africa with new data centers in Sagamu, Accra, Cote D’Ivoire and Senegal, articulating why data centers are required to enable the digital economy.

He also called out the recent spate of data hosting outside the country and urged the government to cut out inefficiencies by adopting a digital strategy and also minimize the country’s data information risks by fostering data residency regulation.
