Several enterprises have made a shift into the cloud over the last decade. At MDXi, we pay a lot of attention to your cloud connectivity strategy-essentially how your data and workloads move between different clouds, enterprise locations, and Data Centers.

VPN Gateway

Connecting your infrastructure to the cloud. Establish secure, cross-premises VPN connectivity.

Features

  • Industry standard site-to-site IPsec VPNs
  • Point-to-site VPN access from any location
  • Guaranteed uptime SLA for VPN gateways
  • Highly available and easy to manage
  • Secure connections from anywhere

CloudConnect

Our CloudConnect services gives customers dedicatedprivate connections to Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and several other Cloud Providers’ Data Center.Whether the infrastructure is deployed in your Office, MDXi colocation or Cloud environment, we guarantee improved performance as the direct connections don't go over the public Internet thereby offering more reliability, faster speeds, lower latencies and higher security than typical Internet connections.

Features

  • Dedicated connection to Azure and AWS
  • SLA based uptime for guaranteed performance
  • Dual circuits for improved redundancy
  • High throughput of up to 2Gbps

Here are the reasons why a cloud connectivity strategy is important:

Though many Cloud Service Providers consistently perform well without a direct connection, direct connections allow enterprises to access Cloud Serviceswithout latency or network outages. These connections prioritize important applications and workloads above lower-value traffic, such as internet browsing, and is valuable for organizations that run mission-critical applications such as a CRM, ERP, or Enterprise Databases on the cloud.

Many enterprises today manage a global network infrastructure, meaning their data and workloads are completely distributed across continents, countries and regions. Analyzing each location and its importance will lead to insights about which type of connectivity is needed.

If your enterprise manages sensitive data such as customer records, financial transactions, PCIDSS, or NDPR regulated data, a secure connection to the cloud is necessary. Public internet connections are inherently less secure than direct connections because traffic is separated and isolated in a specific, designated path.

Enterprise IT shops have varying degrees of cloud connectivity management experience. Some may simply require dark fiber connectivity, while others choose to shift additional management of the transport layer to their MSP via waves, ethernet or IP-VPN. Evaluating the current network is important in determining the best cloud connectivity protocol.

Many enterprises start using the cloud because it is simple to implement, secure to rely on, and relatively easy to scale. However, many enterprises do not realize the financials associated with transporting data from the cloud to their enterprise and are surprised to find out just how much they are spending monthly on data egress fees. If cloud cost optimization is important, evaluating a direct connection is an easy way to bring down your monthly cloud operating expenses.
